Glory Days
Push on the button as the lens eclipses a flare
thousandth of a second drags while you try to prepare,
a moment of your life captured by the blink of an eye
blushed in the face apparent you were shy.
Pose for that one position hold a strong smile
the uneducated photographer capturing your style,
flash flash flash twilight through your eyes
look back at your famous grin with utter surprise.
A snapshot of those glory days
reminisce on memories as if an embarrassing phase.
Now clear photos of a once handsome you
to be archived among friends you once knew,
just a collection of jubilant times
scrap booked randomly scribbled with rhymes.
